Banner Road project is under way

Jim Hargett (shown at right), working for Bettis Asphalt of Topeka, dug out sections of the street on Banner Road before dumping them into a dump truck recently. The work is part of the City of Holton’s Banner Road pavement reconstruction project and has resulted in sections of the road being closed to traffic. The city has been looking at rebuilding and resurfacing Banner between Iowa Avenue and Arizona Avenue (U.S. Highway 75) for several months. (Photo by Brian Sanders)
