Taking down the old JHES bleachers

Zack Kelly (at left) and Jordan Parrish (at right) of Shawnee-based Parrish Construction wrenched bolts and nuts from the old bleachers in the Jackson Heights Elementary School gym recently, preparing the bleachers for removal and replacement with a new set of bleachers later this year. The Jackson Heights school board approved the purchase of a new set of bleachers last October after it was learned that the old wooden bleachers were falling apart, posing safety concerns.
