Gerhardt - Sunday

Larry and Lisa Gerhardt of Netawaka are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Alison Gerhardt, to Donald Charles Sunday, son of Diane Sunday and Donald Eugene Sunday of Dover, Pa. An Aug. 31 wedding at Manhattan is planned.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Frances DeVader and the late Edna DeVader. She attended Hesston College from 2005-2006 on a volleyball scholarship and attended Kansas State University from 2006-2008. She was a student in KSU's College of Veterinary Medicine from 2008-2012 where she received a doctor of veterinary degree. She is now working as a veterinarian at Heartland Veterinary Clinic in Holton.

The future groom attended Black Hawk College in Illinois from 2004-2006 on a livestock judging scholarship and Kansas State University from 2006-2008 also on a livestock judging scholarship. He also was a student in KSU's College of Veterinary Medicine from 2008-2012 and received a doctor of veterinary degree. He is working as a veterinarian at the Emporia Veterinary Hospital.
