Couple celebrates 40th anniversary

Alma Ray and Bob Morse of rural Mayetta were married on Aug. 25, 1974. They celebrated 40 years together by taking a seven-day cruise out of New Orleans.

Alma worked as an elementary school secretary for Royal Valley USD 337 for 21 years, and Bob spent 31½ years in the Air Force and Air National Guard, flying the KC-135 the last 25 of those years. He went on to fly the Lear 60 for Bombardier Flexjet for another 6½ years.

They are proud grandparents to three granddaughters from their son Bobby and wife Crystyl and one from their daughter Jenny and husband Casey Greene (with a grandson on the way).

They reside near rural Mayetta and are still actively involved in the Mayetta Christian Church where they were married.
