Putnam-Green

Damon and Julie Putnam of Hoyt are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Macy Claire Putnam, to Cale Michael Green, son of Steve and Kim Green of Marysville.

The future bride is a graduate of Royal Valley High School and of Kansas State University, where she received her bachelor of science degree in athletic training. Macy is currently attending the University of Medical Center in Omaha, Neb., studying for her master’s to become a cardiovascular perfusionist.

The future groom is a graduate of Marysville High School and of Bethany College, where he received his bachelor of science degree in special education and physical education. Cale also received his master’s degree in special education from Emporia State University and is working toward his second master’s, which will be in administration.

Cale is currently the athletic director at Valley Heights High School (VHHS) in Blue Rapids, as well as the head boys basketball coach, assistant high school track coach and the STUCO advisor for VHHS.

Macy’s grandmothers are Marcy Meyer of Axtell and Marlene Putnam of Hoyt.

Cale’s grandparents are Wayne and Deb Carroll of Marysville.

The couple will be married on Oct. 1, 2022.
