Pagels to celebrate 50th anniversary

Wayne and Beth (Childs) Pagel of Holton will celebrate their 50^th wedding anniversary. They were married Nov. 27, 1971, at First United Methodist Church in Netawaka. Their wedding was delayed an hour due to waiting for the bride’s father, Gene Childs, and brother, Jim Childs, to return from the Jackson Heights state football game, where Jim was the quarterback.

Their family includes their children, Amy Crotts (Jeff) of Lake Lotawana, Mo., Brandy Watkins (Aaron) of Holton and Dean Pagel (Kelly) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Jaret, Carter, Logan, Raegan and Brooke.

Wayne and Beth will celebrate their day with a family get-together.
