Notts to celebrate 50th anniversary
Richard E. Nott and Patricia (Wegner) Nott will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Westlake shelter house at Gage Park, 635 Gage Blvd. in Topeka.
The reception is being hosted by their two children, Angelia Nott Buce and her husband, Mike, and Richard D. Nott and his wife, Christine.
The Notts have five grandchildren, Adriana Buce, Alexandria Buce, Tristan Buce, Danielle Nott and Madison Nott.
Richard and Patricia met at a dance in Holton in 1965 when they were both in high school. They dated for four years while Richard was in the Navy.
They were married on Dec. 30, 1968. They lived in Topeka until 1976, and then moved to Emmett.
Richard worked and retired from maintenance at Goodyear and also retired from the U.S. Naval Reserves. Patricia was both a homemaker and school bus driver. They enjoyed square dancing as a couple.
