Mercer-McAsey

Mariah Elizabeth Mercer and Ian Michael McAsey were joined in holy matrimony at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville on June 12, 2021.  Marriage celebrant was Father Justin Hamilton.  

Joining them in their celebration were Matron of Honor Rachel Webb, friend of the bride, Olivia McAsey, sister of the groom, Catherine Longstaff, cousin of the bride, and Monica Mercer, sister of the bride. 

The best man was Tel Wittmer, friend of the groom. Other groomsmen were Colter Rhodd, friend of the groom, Seth Hutfles, cousin of the groom, and Andrew and Justin Mercer, both brothers of the bride.

The flower girls were Marie and Lydia Lebens and Rachel Longstaff, all cousins of the bride, and the ring bearer was David Longstaff, cousin of the bride.  

Luke and John Paul Longstaff, cousins of the bride, and Doug Longstaff, uncle of the bride, served as ushers. Marianna Mercer, sister of the bride, was the lector. Musicians were Helen Lytle and June Burgett.

The couple celebrated with their guests at a wedding reception, dinner and dance.

Mariah is the daughter of Matt and Gretchen Mercer of Topeka, and Ian is the son of Roger and Jackie McAsey of Holton. The couple resides in Topeka.
