Albrights to celebrate 50th anniversary

Corky and Jeri Albright of Delia will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a marriage blessing in Mass at 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 3, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mayetta. Their children will host the event. Cake and punch will follow Mass.

Corky Albright and Jeri Morris met at Kansas State University while they were helping to build a homecoming float in 1964. They were married on April 23, 1966, at St. Isidore’s Chapel in Manhattan.

The couple has four children, Martin Albright and his wife, Stephanie, of Andover; Scott Albright and his wife, Barb, of Delia; Amy Pruyser of Hoyt; and Kay Andler and her husband, Trent, of Hoyt; and seven grandchildren.

The Albrights are farmers and ranchers. They farmed west of Hoyt and raised their children near where Corky was raised. They are members of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mayetta and have earned KSU Master Farmer and Master Farm Homemaker awards.

The couple is actively involved in the Hoyt Livewires 4-H Club and the Jackson County Extension District. They are also members of the Jackson County Soil Conservation service board and various other agriculture and livestock organizations.
