"Meet The People" section scheduled

The Holton Recorder is now scheduling advertising messages and photos for the upcoming special section called “Meet The People’’ that will be published this summer, it has been reported.

This popular special section will feature local business profiles, some history about the local businesses, along with photos of the people who own and work at the local businesses.

“The last time we published a Meet The People section was October of 2009,’’ said David Powls, editor of The Recorder. “Needless to say, a lot has changed in the community since then.

“The section then was very popular because of the interesting business profiles and because it featured photos of a lot of people in our community at their work,’’ Powls said.

After the Meet The People section is published, some extra copies will be provided to the Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce to distribute to new residents and/or new business owners.

The Meet The People section will also be uploaded to The Recorder’s website – holtonrecorder.net – for free viewing online all year.
