The Clinton News Network

I now refer to CNN, the Cable TV News Network, as the Clinton News Network because the news broadcasts on that channel are so blatantly slanted to favor Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

I miss the TV news era of anchors like Walter Cronkite, who took pride in their objective news reporting.

In those days, most of the national news media including televison stations and newspapers were still owned by journalists who keenly understood the important role the news media plays in our society and how dependent citizens are on legitimate, fair, balanced and trustworthy reporting.

At the national level, those days appear to be gone with the wind. The line between news and opinion on national TV has not only been blurred, it’s been erased and forgotten.

The latest example of the Clinton News Network’s campaign to get Hillary elected, is the top news report that she is leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in campaign war-chest fund-raising by a margin of $42 million to $1.3 million.

How can candidate Trump possibly compete against Clinton if he is that far behind in fund-raising? the Clinton News Network asks.

American citizens are smarter than CNN thinks, however, and they want to know who is donating $42 million to the Clinton campaign and what those people expect to receive from her in return.

Part of candidate Trump’s appeal all along has been that he doesn’t need to promise favors to political campaign donors in return for cash because he’s been spending his own money to run for president.

The big national TV stations like CNN are owned by very wealthy and powerful owners and investors these days. Objective TV news reporting. Political TV news is slanted to favor one candidate or another. If you watch the TV news searching for objective political news reporting, you’re wasting your time.
