Wallace Callison 1928-2015
Wallace Marion Callison, 86, Holton, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Medicalodges Jackson County in Holton.
He was born July 31, 1928, in Oskaloosa, the son of Edward and Dollie Pitts Callison. He was a 1946 graduate of Oskaloosa High School.
Mr. Callison served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1948 and was stationed in Germany. He worked for Goodyear for 38 years before retiring.
He was a member of Local Union 307.
He married Shirley Callison in 1954 in Topeka. She died in 1988. He also was preceded in death by two sisters.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Callison and wife Sheryl, Holton, and Mike Callison and wife Kristina, Holton; three daughters, Sue Brothers, Topeka, Gwen Typer and hhusband Bob, Wichita, and Merry Adams and husband Bill, in Wisconsin; a sister, Della Callison, Valley Falls; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Friday at Pleasant View Cemetery, Oskaloosa.
