Virginia F. Thornburg, 93, Holton, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
She was born July 1, 1924, in Topeka, the daughter of John and Nellie Glidewell.
She married Leroy W. Thornburg on July 12, 1941, in Topeka. He died Feb. 9, 2007.
Survivors include three children, Carol Lee Hoshour and husband Jim, Sumter, S.C., Edward Thornburg, Topeka, and Jerry Thornburg and wife Carolyn, Hoyt; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Mrs. Thornburg’s life at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 at the Hoyt Baptist Church fellowship hall.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart of Jackson Humane Society in Holton.
