Tim Walker 1967-2020
Timothy Lorn “Tim” Walker, 52, of Holton, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born March 27, 1967, in Onaga, the son of Merlin Walker and Shirley Lewis.
Tim graduated from Holton High School in 1985 and attended Topeka Tech School and John Deere University.
He was a construction worker and worked as a John Deere Master Service Technician for 20-plus years. Tim worked for Caldwell’s John Deere and Heritage Tractor, both in Topeka.
He loved spending time with his family. Tim loved music. He played the guitar and drums and was an aspiring singer. He also enjoyed his family, fishing and sports, his favorite teams being the Chiefs, Saints and Cowboys.
He married Trisha Delp-Robinson. They later divorced.
Survivors include his fiancé, Angela Cooney of Holton; his mother Shirley Stevenson (Bill) of Holton; his father, Merlin Walker (Karen) of Montrose, Mich.; his children, Keith Walker and Kari Anne Walker, both of Holton; and his seven sisters, Angie Chalmers (Mark) of Mayetta, Karla Walker (Denny) of New Lothrop, Mich., Rosann Croskey (Brad) of Montrose, Mich., Ashley Persall (Bubba) of Montrose, Mich., Dawn Staley (JR) of Fenton, Mich., Chris Collins (Bob) of Swartz Creek, Mich., and Kim Walker (Jeff) of Swartz Creek, Mich.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Melissia Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 2 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1 at Mercer Funeral Home.
