Thayle Keller 1923-2017
Thayle M. Keller, 93, Holton, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
She was born Feb. 14, 1923, in Mayetta, the daughter of Frank Aloysius and Mary Battese Maines. She graduated from Indian High School in Lawrence.
Ms. Keller worked for Seymour Egg Plant in Topeka, Sunflower Ordinance in DeSoto, Slimaker Dress Factory in Holton and Atchison Leather Company.
She was baptized in the Catholic Church while attending high school. She was also a member of the Citizen Band Potawatomi Nation.
Survivors include a niece, Deanna Joy Maines Mercer, Topeka; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Shipshee Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
