Stephanie Stotts 1954-2018

Stephanie Jean Stotts, 63, Mayetta, died Thursday, March 15, 2018, at her home after battling cancer.

She was born Aug. 15, 1954, in Holton, the daughter of Joseph L. and Ella Grace Clements Stotts. She graduated in 1972 from Madisonville High School in Madisonville, Ky., then earned her certified X-ray technician degree.

Miss Stotts worked in Kentucky as an X-ray technician for many years. She moved back to Kansas and worked for Prairie Band Casino and Resort as a waitress for 10 years, retiring in 2016.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Holton.

Survivors include a sister, Carolyn Jo Buglewicz-Weir and husband Steve, Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Dari K. Stotts and wife Joann, Mayetta, Stanley D. Stotts and wife Janice, Topeka, and Stephen D. Stotts, Holton; and many nieces and nephews.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. A register book will be available at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
