Stanley Richtarik 1948-2018

Stanley W. Richtarik, 69, Holton, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.

He was born Dec. 15, 1948, in Lincoln, Neb., the son of Stanley E. and Irene Filipi Richtarik. He graduated high school in Wilber, Neb., in 1967.

Mr. Richtarik was a U.S. Army combat veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart Medal and was disabled from his wartime service.

He was member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He married Melisse Moberly on April 8, 1982, in Kansas City. She survives.

Other survivors include his mother, Irene Richtarik, Wilber, Neb.; two sons, Joshua Richtarik and wife Melissa, Manhattan, and Ian Richtarik and wife Connie, Hiawatha; a brother, Ronnie Richtarik, Wilber, Neb.; two sisters, Connie Maas and husband Melvin and Lori Lynch and husband David, all of Wilber, Neb.; and 44 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley; and two brothers, Russell Allen Richtarik, in infancy, and Michael C. Richtarik.

Memorial services with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at the American Legion Hall in Wilber, Neb. Graveside services and inurnment with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 at St. Clere Cemetery.
