Sharon Lane 1936-2020
Sharon L. Lane, 83, Holton, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at Atria Hearthstone Assisted Living in Topeka.
She was born Dec. 13, 1936, in Havensville, the daughter of Ralph Ivan and Florence Nicholas Clements. She graduated from Holton High School in 1955 and attended Washburn University.
Mrs. Lane was a homemaker and also worked as a librarian at Beck Bookman Library for more than 17 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Beck Bookman Library Club and the Tourist Club.
She married William D. Lane on Sept. 6, 1958, in Holton. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Grace Stotts, Glenna Johnstone, Lorraine Oates and Rose Brennan; and four brothers, Harland Clements, Clinton Clements, Ward Clements and Gary Clements.
Survivors include two sons, William Jeffrey Lane and wife Penny and Jon E. Lane, all of Topeka; a sister, Phyllis Clements, Denver, Colo.; a brother, Dale Clements and wife Joy, Holton; and a granddaughter, Erika Lane Yoder and husband Luke, Ozawkie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3 at First United Methodist Church in Holton. Burial will follow in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday.
