Shane Martin 1982-2017
Shane Eugene Martin, 35, Horton, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 at Horton Hospital.
He was born Feb. 25, 1982, in Holton, the son of Eugene Walter Martin and Linda Kay Hopkins Marr. He attended Seaman High School.
Mr. Martin had worked at the Crosswinds dog food plant in Hiawatha.
He married Crystal Lanier. They divorced. He married Betsy Rose Douglas. They later separated.
Survivors include a son, Jeremy Eugene Martin, Topeka; his mother and stepfather, Linda and John Marr, Topeka; his father, Eugene Martin, Commerce, Okla.; a sister, Stephanie Lynn Martin, Holton; a stepsister, Debra Martin, in Arizona; a brother, James Ray Martin, Topeka; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Ray Martin, in 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with burial to follow in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
