Rollie Hester 1930-2017
Rollie Henry Hester Jr., 86, Dallas, Texas, died Monday, March 27, 2017, in Dallas.
He was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Rollie and Alice Van Pelt Hester Sr. He attended Denison Rural High School.
Mr. Hester served in the Marine Corps and was stationed at Cherry Point, N.C. He worked as a computer engineer and manager at Sears Roebuck, Continental Emsco and Zales Corporation, retiring in 1992.
He married Elizabeth Keen July 6, 1948, in Holton. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Brad Hester and Doug Hester and their wives, Debbie and Susan, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all in Dallas, Texas; and a sister, Carol Mokofsky, Marietta, Pa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmie Hester.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15 in Valley Falls Cemetery with military honors conducted by Grahem-Herbers Post 3084, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
