Rodney McCulley 1950-2017

Rodney A. McCulley, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at his home in Aledo, Texas.

He was born Sept. 24, 1950, in Sabetha, the son of Robert D. and Dona M. (Wittenbach) McCulley. He graduated in 1968 from Emporia High School in Emporia.

Rodney was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the NRA. He was employed by InServ Field Service based in Tulsa, Okla. He worked as a Piping Superintendent and later as a site Safety Manager. He had worked for InServ, Cust-O-Fab, Inc. and ParFab Industries since 1995. Prior to that, Rodney worked for various other construction companies.

He was preceded in death by his father and his nephew, Brian Eisenbarth.

Survivors include his mother, Dona McCulley of Holton; his brother, Bob McCulley of Holton; his sisters, Becky Eisenbarth (Chuck) of Holton and Roxi Jones (Casey) of Aurora, Colo. Rodney also leaves his dearly loved niece and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great-great-niece. They all were the light of his life.

A casual gathering of friends and family will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be held at a later date in Wetmore Cemetery, Wetmore.
