Funeral services for Robin Sue Kidney, 58, Lawrence, will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2018, at Unity of Lawrence. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.

She died Monday, March 26, 2018, at Pioneer Ridge Nursing Facility.

Robin was born May 13, 1959, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Howard Keith Kidney and Rosemary A. Schmidt. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1978.

She worked at the University of Kansas for 30 years in the Dining Hall as a pot and pan washer. She earned her picture on the wall of fame for her 30 years of service.

Robin held an officer position as a Madam Conductor for the Fraternal Eagles Organization of Lawrence. She was a long time member of the Electric Car Association. Robin belonged to the Unity Church of Lawrence for 20 years and did all the recordings of the Sunday services.

Robin did score keeping at Conroy’s Pubs Trivia on Wednesday nights for 15 years. She loved to go to various car shows, hang out at the Merc with friends and enjoyed playing Scrabble with friends on Tuesday nights. She was also a storm chaser for Douglas County.

Survivors include three siblings, Patricia L Beaver, Oskaloosa, Thomas Ford, San Diego, Calif., and Michiel Ford, Holton; a niece, Holly Jo Beaver, Topeka; and a nephew, Michiel Ford, Topeka.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 1 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence. A visitation will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The family suggests all who attend the funeral and visitation please wear your KU gear in her honor.
