Raymond Tannahill 1947-2018
Raymond Wayne Tannahill, 70, Holton, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.
He was born Oct. 13, 1947, in Holton, the son of Jack Randall and Agnes Norene Sawyer Tannahill. He graduated from Soldier High School in 1965.
Mr. Tannahill owned and operated Tannahill Station in Soldier for a few years. He worked for Jackson County Road and Bridge, retiring in 2013, after 26 years. He was also a farmer and stockman.
He married Phyllis Cattrell. They later divorced.
Survivors include his fiancee, Rebecca Hernandez, of the home; two sons, Kelly Tannahill, Holton, and Terry Tannahill and wife Donna, in Nebraska; two sisters, Ruth Ann Klahr and husband Corky, Netawaka, and Janice Uhl, Holton; two brothers, Jackie D. Tannahill and wife Jolene, Soldier, and Ronald Tannahill and wife Tina, Abilene; and five grandchildren, Kyler, Konnor, Karoline, Koy and Kennedy Tannahill.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Soldier Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
