Randy Roudybush 1952-2017

Randy Neal Roudybush, 64, Wet more, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017.

He was born Dec. 9, 1952, in Holton, the son of Norman and Ma bel “Irene” Trundle Roudybush. He graduated from Alt High School in Alt, Colo., and later attended Wash burn University and Fort Hays State University. He graduated from Northwest Iowa School of Taxidermy in 1989.

Mr. Roudybush served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Davidson during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of American Legion Post 282 in Wetmore.

He married Sandra “Sandy” Sue Sanders on April 12, 1975, in Ellsworth. She survives.

Other survivors include his parents, Norman and Irene Roudybush, Wetmore; two sons, Matthew Roudybush and wife Lisa, Nielsville, Minn., and David Roudybush and wife Aileen, Manhattan; a daughter, Michelle Novotny and husband William, Manhattan; two sisters, Debbie Frayer, Powhattan, and Nancy Hackler, Wetmore; a brother, Michael Roudybush, Holton; and 10 grandchildren, Derek, Hunter, Hannah, Payton “Squeaky,” Braden, Zander, Kamisha, Alisha, Alayne and Matthew.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial with military honors will follow in Wet more Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.
