Paul Krogman 1931-2020

Paul Bernard Krogman, 89, of Holton, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, at The Pines South Nursing Facility near Holton.

He was born Aug. 30, 1931, at Sabetha, the son of Martin and Clara Osterhaus Krogman.

Mr. Krogman was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the 9th Division in Germany. He was a postal worker for 33 years, serving as assistant postmaster at Holton for part of his career and retiring in August 1992, and a lifelong farmer.

He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton, and a charter member of Holton Knights of Columbus Council 4219. He was also a member of Holton VFW Post 1367, Holton American Legion Post 44, the Postal Worker’s Union, NARFE and a former member of the Holton Eagles Club.

He married Patricia Grannell on April 12, 1958, at Holton. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, David Krogman (Jo), Holton; a daughter, Carolyn Cochren (Luke), Holton; a brother, Bob Krogman, Holton; four sisters, Alice Doyle-Lindemuth and Gladys Law, both of Topeka, Mary Ann Turner, Demming, N.M., and Judy Barrow, Denison; six grandchildren, Christene, Jennifer, Kelly, Andrew, Carlene and Emma; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
