Pat Fleming 1923-2018

Velma Darlene “Pat” Fleming, 94, Holton, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018.

She was born in 1923, the daughter of Carl and Georgia Craft. She grew up on farms near Burlingame and later Osage City. She attended Emporia State University Teachers College.

Mrs. Fleming moved to Wichita to help in the war effort by working at Beech Aircraft. She had resided at The Pines of Holton for the past two years.

She married Orville Lee Fleming in 1943. He preceded her in death, as did a daughter, Kathie Cox.

Survivors include a son, Scott Fleming; a daughter, Lorie Fleming Huyett and husband Jake, Holton; a son-in-law, Richard Cox, Topeka; grandchildren, Heather Cox Klingbeil and husband Randy, Topeka, and Jeremiah Huyett, Holton; great grandsons, Jacob, Jace and Jamison Huyett, all of Holton; and several nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Fleming will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
