Norma Klahr 1937-2017
Norma Marie Klahr, 79, Holton, died Friday, March 24, 2017, at Aldersgate Village in Topeka.
She was born March 26, 1937, in Vassar, the daughter of Rufus Valentine and Pauline Emma Haufler Bauck. She graduated from Lyndon High School in 1955.
Mrs. Klahr had helped her husband on their family farm since 1961. She also worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a bookkeeper and for Denison State Bank in Holton as a proof machine operator.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Holton.
She married Delwin Junior Klahr on April 23, 1961, in Vassar. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Denise Weber and husband Richard, Garnett; two sons, Dennis A. Klahr and wife Eunice and Dale A. Klahr, both of Holton; a sister, Lila Neihoff and husband Garry, Ottawa; and seven grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Weber, Dillon and Dean Klahr, Kayla Gordon and husband Matt, Darien Brock and wife Cody and Danni Klahr. She was preceded in death by her parents and triplet siblings, Ruby, Rufus and Wallace.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Holton. Burial will follow in Netawaka Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
