Nancy Llamas 1953-2017

 

Nancy Bea “Nezat” Wishkeno Llamas, 64, Topeka, died Thurs­day, Aug. 17, 2017, at Rossville Nursing Home.

She was born June 2, 1953, in Holton, the daughter of Wesley and Nettie Keesis Wishkeno. She graduated from Rossville High School and attended Haskell Indian Junior College.

Mrs. Llamas retired from the State of Kansas. She had lived most of her life in the Topeka commu­nity.

She was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and had volunteered at Topeka Shawnee County Public Library.

She married Henry Llamas. He died in December of 1992.

Survivors include a brother, Lance Wishkeno and wife Lucy, Rossville; four sisters, Camilla Chouteau and Audrey Simon, both of Topeka, Gloria Keesis, Moore, Okla., and Bernadine Wishkeno, Albuquerque, N.M.; a son, Wesley Llamas, McKinney, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Monday morning in Wishkeno Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrange­ments.
