Mila Dunn 2016-2018

Mila Marie Dunn, “Komoquah,” 2, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

She was born Feb. 12, 2016, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Marcos Dunn and Pe-Qwas Hernandez.

She was a member of the Drum Religion.

Survivors include her parents; maternal grandparents, Laury Shopteese, Mayetta, and Paul Hernandez Sr., Topeka; paternal grandparents, Christopher Dunn, Rockford, Ill., Debbie Wright, Horton, Max Delphin, Stockton, Calif., and Jenise Slater, Hutchison; and a brother, Collin Martinez, Ft. Madison, Iowa.

Family and friends will meet from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt. A supper and wake will be held Friday evening at the Nozhackum Hall on the Prairie Band Potawatomi Reservation. Burial will be held Saturday morning in the Dance Ground Cemetery.
