Lucylle Cannon 1932-2021
Lucylle Charlene Ingwerson Cannon, 89, Sabetha, formerly of Goff, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, at her home.
She was born April 13, 1932, in Pawnee City, Neb., the daughter of Elmer and Paraleigh Ramsey Ingwerson. She graduated from Goff Rural High School in 1950.
Mrs. Cannon was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society in Sabetha, LLL and Friendly Neighbors, Home Extension Units until they disbanded and Jackson County Friends of Hospice.
She married Milburn Cecil “Bud” Cannon on June 5, 1949, at the Methodist Church at Goff. He died in 2010.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Elmer Ingwerson in 1985; her mother, Paraleigh Ingwerson in 1992; a brother, Jerry; sisters, Darlene and LaVonne; grandson, Kirk Cannon, in 2010; two foster sons, Keith Orender, in 2006, and Steve Orender, in 2013; sisters-in-law, Velma Cannon and Viola Cannon; and brothers-in-law, Donald Cannon, Walter Kirk, Don Chase and Glen Sullivant.
Survivors include two children, Kenneth Wayne Cannon and wife Connie, Mulvane, and Barbara Ann Heffner and husband Les, Rushville, Ill., and Sedona, Ariz.; a foster son, Rick Orender, Russell; a sister, Suzanne Sullivant, Climax Springs, Mo.; a brother, Charles Ingwerson, Creighton, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kirk, Goff; five grandchildren, Amber Heffner, Corri Heffner, Jaime Heffner-DeWitt, Lesley LaRock and Kristofer Cannon; 14 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Lance, Jarred, Carson, Reese, Ellie, Jack, Sam, Emma, Anisten, Meara, Ramsey, Sareff and Chloe; and many nieces and nephews.
Private family funeral services were held Monday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery in Goff.
