Lillian Spencer 1940-2015
Lillian Mae Spencer, 74, Holton, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at Holton Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 31, 1940, at Olathe, the daughter of Merle and Frances Pettyjohn Spencer. She graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1957.
Ms. Spencer worked for the Atchison County Co-op for 11 years. She retired early due to a disability and was a foster parent after her retirement.
She married Ira J. Harrison in 1959. They divorced.
Survivors include a son, Ira E. Harrison and wife Debbie, Holton; a daughter, Tandy T. Lindstrom and husband Michael, Atchison; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Frank Dean Harrison and Clifford Zachary LaHue; and a daughter, Pamela Sue White.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery at Effingham.
