LeRoy Reichardt 1943-2019

LeRoy Reichardt, 75, Hoyt, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.

He was born Jan. 20, 1943, at Newton, the son of Raymond and Elva Clason Reichardt.

Mr. Reichardt was a firefighter with the Topeka Fire Department for 26 years and also had worked for Schendel Pest Control for 38 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.

He was baptized in the Methodist Church and was a member of American Legion Post 400 in Topeka.

He married Sandra Kay Alderson on Jan. 26, 1964, in Burlington. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Darrell Reichardt and wife Dana, Topeka; a daughter, Darci Stockman and husband Jared, Hoyt; a brother, Raymond Reichardt and wife Elizabeth, Topeka; a sister, LaVerne Smith, Burlington; five grandchildren, Lisa Dodds, Danielle Schraad, Kyle Stockman, Summer Reichardt and Courtney Reichardt; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation with Last Bell Service will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt. Inurnment with military honors will follow in Hoyt Cemetery.
