Larry Harris 1948-2020

Larry G. Harris, 72, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, in Topeka.

He was born in Holton on Aug. 15, 1948, the son of Wesley and Melvina Zwonitzer Harris. He was preceded in death by both parents.

A 1966 graduate of Wetmore High School and a 1975 graduate of Riesch Worldwide School of Auctioneering along with his brother, Dan, he worked with his father, W.O., at Harris Auction Service and Holton Livestock Exchange and with his brother at Harris Real Estate & Auction L.L.C. He retired from Goodyear after 37 years of service.

Larry is survived by his wife, Patty, and their blended family, Angela Harris, Rowdy (Emilee) Harris and Julie Schafer, all of Topeka, and Lisa (Terry) Ellis of Wichita; five grandchildren, Rylan and Dallin Harris, Dylan Morch, Landon Ellis and George Westermann; brother, Dan (Lesley) Harris of Holton; and sister, Carol (Del) Buser of Florida.

Larry was a devout Christian. He loved traveling, sports and hunting and was a life member of NRA.

Private family services will be held.
