Larry Fund 1941-2017
Larry K. Fund, 75, Wetmore, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at his home.
He was born June 10, 1941, in Sabetha, the son of Alec and Marty Hawley Fund. He graduated from Goff High School in 1959.
Mr. Fund served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963. He lived most of his life in the Wetmore community. He worked for AT&T from 1963 to 1969 and later for JBN and ICOM at Wetmore as an electronic technician and later in management.
He was a member of Wetmore United Methodist Church, Wetmore American Legion Post 282 and a past member of the Wetmore Lions Club.
He married Betty Jane Cooper on Feb. 1, 1963, in Coward, S.C. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Bruce Fund and wife Martha, Brad Fund and wife Sarah and Bryan Fund and wife Jennifer, all of Wetmore; three sisters, Nancy Rillinger and husband Larry, Goff, Sharon Heiman and husband Lambert, Seneca, and Karen McClasky and husband Mike, Hoyt; two brothers, Alan Fund and wife Brenda, Silver Lake, and Dennis Fund and wife Mary Beth, Wamego; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and an adopted grandson, Lil Man. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rocky Fund.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
