June LaBrecque 1935-2016

Erma “June” Robinson LaBrec­que, 80, Topeka, died Friday, May 6, 2016, at her home.

She was born May 17, 1935, at Atchison, the daughter of Glen and Gladys Vest Robinson.

Ms. LaBrecque had worked for many years for Capper’s Publica­tion and later worked in home health care in Topeka.

She married Lucien LaBrecque in Woonsocket, R.I. They divorced.

Survivors include a son, Randy LaBrecque and wife Dena, Topeka; two sisters, Helen Jackson, Topeka, and Mary Johnson, Atchison; a granddaughter, Bailey Ridgway; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her par­ents; six brothers, Billy Joe Robin­son, Bob Robinson, Jack Robinson, Mike Robinson, Dick Robinson and Danny Robinson; and four sis­ters, Betty Cox, Jean Beagle, Deola Smart and Susie Bratton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Atchison. Ms. La­Brecque will lie in state today and until service time Tuesday at the funeral home, where family and friends will meet an hour prior to service time.
