Jim Foye 1959-2016
James Daniel “Jim” Foye, 56, Whiting, died Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Nov. 20, 1959, in Hiawatha, the son of Delbert “Keith” and Beverly Potterf Foye. He attended Whiting Grade School and graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1977.
Mr. Foye worked for Mid-Central Egg Plant in Hiawatha, BMB/Alamo in Holton, Sac and Fox and Golden Eagle casinos, Koch and Company and Crosswinds, both in Hiawatha, and Wenger Manufacturing in Sabetha.
He married Charlotte Jewell. They divorced.
Survivors include his fiancee, Louise Harris, of the home; parents, Keith and Beverly Foye, Whiting; a daughter, Kirsten Patton and husband Jonas, Emporia; a son, Daniel Foye and wife Aubrey, Olathe; four grandchildren, Micah Foye, Grace Patton, Maisie Foye and Preslee Patton; a brother, Douglas Foye and wife Karen, Whiting; two sisters, Kelly Schulte and husband Brent, Auburn, and Vicki White and husband William, Silver Lake; seven nephews and nieces; and a great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delbert and Peggy Foye and George and Dorthea Potterf.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial followed in Springhill Cemetery at Whiting.
