Jerry Kissel 1955-2022

Jerry Lee Kissel, 66, Wetmore, died Monday, March 28, 2022, at his home.

He was born Sept. 5, 1955 at Holton, the son of John and Lucille Goodman Kissel. He graduated from Wetmore High School in 1974.

Mr. Kissel had worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Topeka for 23 years.

He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and the Kansas Sampler Foundation.

Survivors include his mother, Lucille Kissel, Sabetha; two brothers, Jon Kissel and wife Joyce, Douglass, and Jim Kissel and wife Sally, Wetmore; two nephews, Jon Russel Kissel and Jason Kissel; and a niece, Jamie Grollmes. He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Ted Kissel.

Memorial graveside services and inurnment will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9 in Fairview Cemetery at Goff. Family and friends will meet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton.
