J.D. Wark 1970-2015 and Miley Wark 2011-2015
James Derrick “J.D.” Wark, 44, and Miley Wark, 3, both of Hillsoboro, Texas, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, as a result of a vehicle accident in Hillsboro, Texas.
James Derrick “J.D.” Wark was born April 7, 1970, in Holton, the son of James Arthur Wark and Viva “Marie” Branam. He attended Holton High School.
Mr. Wark was an over the road truck driver, hauling for construction and implement companies.
He married Stephanie Rutledge. They divorced. He married Carrie Oswald. They divorced. He was currently engaged to Amber Pope, who died later, also as a result of the vehicle accident. He also was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Marie and Gary Hards, Denison; six children, Jesse Page and wife Jessica, Derrick Page and Amanda Page, all of Topeka, Hannah Wark and Jayden Wark, both of Hiawatha, and Madison Wark, Hillsboro, Texas; two sisters, Mary Winchelle and husband Charlie, Topeka, and Bridget Wymore, Hoyt; three brothers, Mike Wark, Amarillo, Texas, Marty Wark, Toronto, and Stoney Hards, Denison; and a granddaughter.
Miley Marie Wark was born May 21, 2011, in Topeka, the daughter of James Derrick “J.D.” Wark and Amber Pope.
Survivors include a sister, Madison Wark; two half-sisters, Amanda and Hannah Wark; three half-brothers, Jesse and Derrick Page and Jayden Wark; and her grandparents, Marie and Gary Hards, Denison, and Kristie and Kenny Walters, Manhattan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with burial to follow in Denison Cemetery.
