Janice Moore 1956-2020
Janice Irene Cunningham Moore, 63, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at a hospital in Columbia, Mo.
She was born Dec. 1, 1956, the daughter of James B. and Clare Novinski Cunningham of Effingham. She graduated from ACCHS in 1974, from Highland Community College in 1976 and from Missouri Western State College in 1978, then pursued a master’s degree in psychology at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
She married David F. Moore on March 11, 1993, in St. Louis, Mo. He survives.
Other survivors include six sisters, Ellen Robertson and husband Riley, San Antonio, Texas, Sheila Springer and husband Arneil, Holton, Ruthe Drew, Fish Kill, N.Y., Patrice Cunningham and husband Russell Grecco, Ocean City, N.J., Deborah Hawk and husband Bill, Effingham, and Denise Cunningham, Effingham; three sisters-in-law, Debra K. Cunningham, Yukon, Okla., Kathy Howard, St. Louis, Mo., and Cindy Aune and husband David, in Virginia; 14 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and great-nephews; and four great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Daniel P. “Murf” Cunningham; and two brothers-in-law, Charles Drew and Robert Mirch.
A family celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a local food bank.
