Jackie was born March 25, 1943, in Wichita. She moved to the Holton area shortly after her birth, while her father served overseas in World War II. Upon his discharge at the end of the war, the family moved to a farm near Circleville, where she grew up. Jackie attended Circleville Rural High School, graduating in 1961.

She met Owen Cordell Fisher of Soldier in Holton in 1964. They were married on Oct. 14, 1966, at her family’s farm. In 1967 they moved to California, where they started their family – Ann was born in 1968, Leslie in 1971 and John in 1980.

In 1980, Owen’s work with Western Airlines took the family to Casper, Wyo. They lived in Bar Nunn, where Owen and Jackie were very active with the volunteer fire department and working to incorporate the area into a town in 1982. Jackie worked as the town clerk of Bar Nunn for many years and made many life-long friends.

In 1992, Owen’s work took the Fishers back to Missouri, where they lived in Platte City. Jackie worked at Cracker Barrel #366 at Tiffany Springs for 14 years. After the loss of her husband in 2002 and her son in 2010, Jackie moved back to the Casper area, residing at Laurel Gardens until her death after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen; son John; her grandson Edwin; her parents John and Betty Stolzenberger; her brother Harold; and sisters-in-law Karen (David) and Audrey (Harold).

She is survived by her daughter Ann and husband Chris, of Evansville, Wyo.; her daughter Leslie and husband Chris, of Culpeper, Va.; sister Beth and husband Ed of Redfield; brother David (Karen) of Morrill; grandchildren Cory (Sammi), Michael, Nathan, Amethyst, Sapphire (Randy), Walker and Abby; great-grandchildren John, Scott, Nova and Beatrice; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends who had nowhere else to go. Jackie’s home and heart were always open. She will be greatly missed by people from California to Virginia, and many places in between.
