Jack Anderson 1939-2017
Jack L. Anderson, 78, Hoyt, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at his home.
He was born Feb. 1, 1939, in Holton, the son of Stanley A. and Geneva L. Whiting Anderson. He graduated from Denison High School in 1957. He had lived in the Hoyt community since 1972.
Mr. Anderson worked as a meat cutter in north Topeka and also worked in Nebraska and Missouri.
He was a member of Union Local 576.
He married Charlene Pappan on Feb. 1, 1958, in Holton. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Gary Anderson and wife Leslie, Meriden, and Doug Anderson and wife Brandy, Netawaka; a sister, Barbara Miller, Denison; five grandchildren, Blake, Brock, Kacie, Taylor and Colt; and five great-grandchildren, Kadyn, Paisley, Camden, Hoyt and Axel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Denison Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
