Isla Bottom 1926-2016
Isla Jean Bottom, 89, Holton, formerly of Havensville, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at The Pines in Holton.
She was born July 7, 1926, at Onaga, the daughter of Carl and Caroline Marten Figge.
Mrs. Bottom was a member of Buck’s Grove United Methodist Church and lived in the Buck’s Grove community on a farm, moving to Holton six years ago.
She married Ralph Bottom on May 20, 1946 at Duluth. He survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Martin Figge.
Other survivors include four children, Ralph Eugene Bottom and wife Linda, Meriden, Charlene Reynolds and husband Garold and Darlene Boeding and husband Joe, all of Topeka, and Linda Bottom, Omaha, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Burial followed in Bucks Grove Cemetery.
