Glynda Noe 1936-2021

Glynda May Noe, 84, of Sabetha, formerly of Netawaka, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Sabetha Manor.

She was born Nov. 2, 1936, in Wetmore, the daughter of Glyn T. and Elsie May (Linn) McCall.

Glynda graduated from Wetmore High School and attended a business college. Glynda had lived in Netawaka for 15 years and also Holton for one year, Wetmore for 31 years, Phoenix, Ariz., for 15 years and Topeka for eight years. She was a stenographer, apartment manager, worked at nursing homes and a waitress.

She attended Methodist and Unity Church. Glynda enjoyed visiting with family and friends and reading a good book.

Glynda married James Victor Chilson on Feb. 26, 1955, in Wetmore. They divorced. She married Freeman Lee Noe on Aug. 9, 1974, in Holton; he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2000. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Ann Chilson; and a brother, Keith Dee McCall.

Survivors include her children, Robert “Bob” Glynn Chilson (Diana) of Topeka, Lynda Kay Good of Topeka, Celeste “Renee” Meininger (Bruce) of Westmoreland and Lorraine Chilson of California; brother, Max Lee McCall of St. Claire, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Kayce Chilson, Jared Chilson, Megan Hennesay, Melissa Moffitt, Abby Stous, Taelor Poncin and Jaeme Poncin; and seven great-grandchildren.
