Gary Swindale 1993-2015

 

Gary Michael Swindale, 21, Holton, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, as the result of a single-car accident east of Circleville.

He was born Oct. 15, 1993, in Onaga, the son of Eugene Duane Swindale and Nancy Annette Cat­trell. He graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 2012.

Mr. Swindale had worked for Kathy’s General Store and Boom­ers’ Grill, both in Holton, and Lowe’s in Kansas City. He was currently working for SKF in Se­neca as a forklift driver.

Survivors include his parents, Nancy Cattrell, Holton, and Gene Swindale, Olathe; two sisters, Samantha Swindale and Elizabeth Swindale, both of Holton; maternal grandparents, Larry and Rita Cat­trell, Circleville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Duane and Sue Swindale.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mercer Fu­neral Home in Holton. Burial will be held in Ontario Cemetery. Mr. Swindale will lie in state beginning Wednesday at the funeral home, where family will greet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Swindale Memo­rial Fund, to be designated at a later date and sent in care of Mercer Fu­neral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
