Frank Tecchio 1944-2020

Frank Tecchio, 76, Wetmore, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020, at his home with his wife by his side.

He was born in 1944 in Nyack, N.Y.

Mr. Tecchio served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964 with the 101st Airborne Division stationed in Augsburg, Germany. He and his wife moved to California, where he attended San Bernardino County Community College, receiving an associate degree in city planning and urban renewal. He then enrolled in California Polytechnic University, graduating with honors with a bachelor's degree in political science.

After graduation, he worked for Fleetwood Industries in their recreational vehicle plant as an assistant sales manager and was later recruited by Komfort Industries to run a plant in Oregon, where he worked until moving to upstate New York for family reasons. He and his wife moved in 2003 to Holton, where they became landlords. 

He and his wife, Carol, were married in 1967. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Melody Parisi, Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Tiffany Benway, Duanesburg, N.Y., and Terra Tecchio-Baseley, Fort Scott; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; his mother; two sisters; and a twin brother.

Mr. Tecchio was cremated. A Zoom memorial will be held at a later date.
