Ford Williams 1923-2015
Ford L. Williams, 91, Topeka, died Friday, July 17, 2015, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
He was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Sabetha, the son of George and Fern Williams. He graduated from Holton High School in 1941 and lived in Topeka for most of his life.
Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II as a crew chief for B-25 bombers. He worked for Associated Wholesale Grocers until retiring in the 1980s and was a sales representative for Flynn Brokerages after his retirement.
He married Mary Lou Frazey July 23, 1943, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Mike Williams and wife Sheila, Emporia; a daughter, Mary L. Adkins, Fayetteville, Ark.; a grandson, Chad Williams and wife Michelle, Topeka; and two great-grandsons, Zachary and Kenneth. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Williams.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Davidson Funeral Home, Topeka. Interment followed in Holton Cemetery.
