Fayola Linneman 1927-2019
Fayola Kroemer Linneman, 92, Emporia, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, in Emporia.
She was born June 29, 1927, on the family farm home near Bern. She attended a one-room country school for seven years in Bern, went to eighth grade at Riverside School District 2 until it closed and attended Bern High School through 10th grade.
Mrs. Linneman worked in homes of family, friends and neighbors and at the Nemaha County Covalence Center. After her marriage, she worked for three years at Slimaker Dress Factory in Holton, then had a daycare at her home in Onaga. She later did bookwork for Raney Exterminators. She and her husband moved to Emporia in 1993. She entered Emporia Rehabilitation Center in 2002 and Flint Hills Care Center on Dec. 26, 2008.
She was a member of the Fredon Church in Seneca.
She married Glen F. Linneman on April 15, 1947. He died Dec. 25, 2007. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Neola Frey; and two brothers, Julius Waterman and Melvin Kroemer.
Survivors include a son, Steven D. Linneman and wife Brenda, Emporia; two grandsons, Tait Linneman and Reid Linneman, both of Emporia; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Kroemer, Topeka; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Netawaka Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
