Eva Schreiber 1922-2014
Eva Irene Schreiber, 92, Soldier, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at her home.
She was born March 29, 1922, in Wetmore, the daughter of Johnathon Littleton and Cordelia Edith Hetherington Davis. She attended country schools and had lived in the Wetmore and Soldier areas all her life.
Mrs. Schreiber was a homemaker, farmer and stockwoman.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka, where she was a member of Lutheran Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Soldier Women’s Card Club and Soldier Lions Club.
She married Leon Gerald Schreiber on April 6, 1938, in Hiawatha. He died March 1, 1965. She also was preceded in death by four sisters, Lillian Horton, Donna Savage, Edith Allen and Julia Laverence; and three brothers, Jack, Raymond and Freeman Davis.
Survivors include a son, Gary Schreiber and wife Annette, Soldier; four daughters, Debra Rash and husband Harmon and Leota Wilkerson and husband Steve, all of Circleville, Lavon Keehn and husband Ernest, Wetmore, and Bonnie White and husband Jim, Yelm, Wash.; a sister, Evelyn Strough; Sabetha; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka, with burial to follow in Soldier Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday for lunch at the Netawaka Community Center.
