Eugene Spetter 1925-2017

Eugene N. Spetter, 92, Delia, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at the St. Marys Health Center.

He was born March 3, 1925, near Topeka, the son of Otis and Sophe Polenek Spetter.

Mr. Spetter retired from Ed Marling’s as a TV technician in 1988.

He married Nellie Dain at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church on May 1, 1950. She died Oct. 13, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; four sisters; and two grandsons, Sean Donnelly and John Kochaniec.

Survivors include his children, Judy Cress and husband Verlon, Sarah Bahner and husband Mike Richmond, Cecil Spetter and wife Anna, Ramna Cookie Kochaniec and husband Dan, Patti Jordan and husband Richard and Leo Same Spetter; 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Spetter was cremated. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence Ave., Topeka, where funeral services will be held at noon. Family graveside services will be held at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Interstate 70 and Auburn Road.
