Duane Hundley 1929-2016
Duane L. Hundley, 86, Holton, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at The Pines in Holton.
He was born Sept. 26, 1929, in Omaha, Neb., the son of Ernest and Gladys Irene Spicher Hundley. He graduated from Holton High School.
Mr. Hundley served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as a lab technician and trainer for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the FOE, Boy Scouts of America (Oregon Trail District) for more than 35 years, American Legion Post 44, JCDCC, URW Union and the Korean Veterans Organization. He also was a member of First United Methodist Church in Holton.
He married Marjorie Rose Dowd on April 2, 1955, in St. Joseph, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Rosanna Wilson and husband Keith and Laura Ladusch, all of Circleville; two sons, Randy Hundley and wife Kristie and Larry Hundley and wife Marsha, all of Holton; two sisters, Virginia Merwin, in Texas, and Norma Jean Farmer and husband Ken, Holton; a brother, William Hundley, Lawrence; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Hundley and Stanley Hundley; a grandson, Joey Hundley; and a great-grandson, Rowdy Nimmo.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time, beginning at 10 a.m. Inurnment with military honors will follow in Holton Cemetery.
