Douglas Mueller 1943-2021

Douglas Wayne Mueller, 78, of Horton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021 at his apartment in Horton.

He was born on June 25, 1943 in San Fernando, Calif., the son of Edwin and Pearl Lindholm Mueller.

After high school, Doug served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam conflict. He worked as a general laborer for several different companies through the years, before retiring. He was a member of the Horton VFW.

Survivors include a son, Daniel Spicer of Lincoln, Neb.; two daughters, Kristy Cisneroz of Taft, Texas and Debra Mueller of Great Bend; a brother, Edwin Mueller of Herington; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Douglas Mueller II, daughter, Melanie Spicer, three brothers, George, Andrew and Robert Mueller.

Services will be held at a later date at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Fort Riley. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
